Enterprise Gateway Ontology Mapping Services (EGOMS):

EGOMS is a module of Enterprise Maintenance Gateway (EMG) that is being developed to work hand in hand with the latter. One of EMG’s functions is to generate third party actions in other systems based on the information that is being collected by the EMG software. In order to accomplish this, a “translator” is required to link all of the independent island systems to the EMG network. By mapping the different representations of the same data in different systems (Ontologies), EGOMS holds the necessary language to interface across the entire enterprise, streamlining the passage of information and eliminating steps in the operational process. It is the engine behind EMG and the bridge that links your enterprise from end to end.
